This weekend we held two different book signings for Velcro: The Ninja Kat; an unadvertised First Friday "Secret Ninja Signing" at Loud Voice Books, and then The Book Shelf Signing on Saturday. While Chris Widdop was busy signing books, The Ninja Kat was on the prowl, and actually got caught by a few cameras throughout the events. YA Urban reviews Velcro: The Ninja Kat

Things that I liked:

1. The anthropomorphism. It was well-done, slick and semi-casual, leaving little room for question, and leaving the reader little choice but to just go along with it.
1. The world. Widdop is a good world-builder. Without going overboard, I got a good sense of the setting, which is always important.
3. The story arcs. They were obviously thought-out and I enjoyed them.
